Audience and Cinema going habits

Audiences are more likely to go to the cinema on a Friday night as it is the end of the week and start of the weekend. This is when people do not have to think about work the next day and use their time as leisure. In the United States, Mexico, Canada and England, the most popular film genre is Comedy. Some of the top comedy films are: Superbad, Airplane!, Anchorman and Shaun of the Dead. The audience hear about films that are being released through teasers, trailers, interviews, posters and recommendations from friends and family. The top 5 largest market by number of admissions are: India, United States, Canada, France then Mexico. Many people like watching 3D films when it comes to animated and adventure films, but if the film does not consist of many special effects then many people in the audience tend not see the point in paying for a 3D experience.
